Easy plug & play operation
Simply plug in the hdmi input sources into the input connections and the output connection to your TV or projector. 501BN will automatically switch to the currently active input source if there is only one active input. If there are multiple active inputs, then you can select the input either using the IR remote or using the select button on the switch. The HDMI signal from the selected input is passed through to the output HDMI connection.

The BlastIR is designed to get your remote control's signal to where it needs to go. Since remote control signals (IR) need "line-of-sight" to work, you will need this extender if the equipment you're trying to control is not in sight. You'll need to extend your IR signals, especially if your TV is wall-mounted.Sewell's IR extender kits provide all the parts you need in one convenient package to send an IR signal from the comfort of your couch to wherever you store your equipment. How This Works:This kit includes an IR receiver, a connecting block (which also serves as a signal repeater), and IR emitters. The IR receiver is a small inconspicuous device that you can mount on your HDTV's bezel or anywhere else in the room where you will want to point your remote. The MHL (USB Micro-B) to HDMI (Type-A female) is perfect for connecting your MHL enabled device to an HDMI TV with an HDMI cable. With this adapter, you can watch movies and listen to music from your phone or tablet on your HD TV.

The RCP function will only work with HDTV's that are compatible. It will not work with all TV's.

To use RCP, connect your phone to the HDMI port on the TV. Set the following settings on your TV:
-Note: Menu setting headings may differ depending on the brand of your TV.
-Go to Menu/Tools > Settings/Input > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) > MHL Device (Setup) and set Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) to ON.
-Go to Menu/Tools > Settings/Input > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) > MHL Device (Setup) > Searching Connections.
-After searching is complete, Anynet+ settings complete will be displayed.
